Sam and Hayden met in nursing school and found that they were both adventurers at heart. So it was no surprise to their family when they chose to elope in New Zealand – one of the most beautiful places in the world!  “We decided to elope because we wanted the experience to be all about the love we have for one another in a place that demonstrates how we feel about one another. We love New Zealand because it gives you everything you need; the mountains, the snow, the ocean, beautiful skies and landscapes, the rain, the city, the adventure, and the stillness. & that just sums up how we feel about one another”.

Sam and Hayden’s vision for their day was a wild Scandinavian / Nordic vibe which which felt intimate, romantic, minimalistic and moody.  Sam’s love for florals meant they were a very important part of the vision for her day.  Sam’s wedding bouquet brief was an “untamed, medium sized cascade of wildflowers with Indie vibes.  Colours of white, greens, neutrals and earthy with a hint of burnt orange and browns to suit the season”.    Our floral queen Gypsy from The Vase’s floral creation was the perfect representation of Sam’s vision and complimented the wild glacial ceremony location so perfectly.  It was a real treat for Gypsy to travel in the helicopter and create the floral ceremony installation right on top of the mountain!
