Cecil Peak Helicopter Elopement Queenstown| Jenna + Anthony
“After a 3 month, whirlwind engagement we eloped to the South Island. Our ceremony was intimate and relaxed. We wanted our ceremony to be simple, short and sweet. We also wanted our wedding day to be unique to us – our love, our journey, and eloping to Queenstown made this possible. We were able to express raw emotion without the pressure of an audience, get lost in each other and savour the ‘just married’ high without any distractions – it was extremely romantic” – Jenna + Anthony
Jenna and Anthony’s stunning elopement was featured in Together Journal. From the moment they reached out to discuss her dream Queenstown winter elopement we knew this was going to be one special day! They were full of the excitement of planning the perfect relaxed and intimate day!
These guys are no strangers to travel. A great benefit to then both working in the oil and gas industry is the opportunity to travel and experience different countries and cultures together. Together they have travelled to Japan, South East Asia and Canada. Exploring their own backyard is something they enjoy a lot too! It is Anthony’s passion for snowboarding that brings them to the South Island every snow season. In fact it was their love for adventure, travel and winter in the South Island that led them to dreaming up the perfect way to get married. Combining their love of adventure, travel and snow they dreamed up the perfect way to marry! Let’s elope to Queenstown in winter!
“Our advice to other couples would be to love and live authentically. Traditions are a beautiful thing, but in our day and age we have the freedom to be a little selfish, untraditional or wild if you want to be. Your love is unparalleled and your wedding day should reflect that” – Jenna + Anthony
DRESS + SUIT
Jenna looked like a goddess in The Maya Gown by New Zealand designer Brooke Tyson Ritual. The gown heavy with lace and sequins shimmered in the golden hour with the most beautiful billowy sleeves. Jenna’s outfit was topped off with the most exquisite green velvet Chaos and Harmony boots. A practical but beautiful way to walk around on the mountain tops in the winter time in Queenstown!
Anthony was the picture of dashing in his custom made suit that he had tailored for him in Hoi An, Vietnam during their travels in South East Asia.
Cecil Peak Ledge
Cecil Peak Ledge is perfect for Queenstown Mountain elopements being so close to town and just a short helicopter ride to experience the epic views of Lake Wakatipu. We landed on at Cecil Peak just in time for the golden hour for Jenna and Anthony’s elopement. They said their vows just as the mountain shone in the luminous light which was pure magic and very romantic!
“We also had a fantastic time traipsing around the mountain side with our photographer Dawn. Playing in the snow and negotiating spikey Spaniard plants and rocky terrain was entertaining and everywhere you looked the view was breath taking. We feel we found a photographer who’s images really captured the magic we were feeling inside” – Jenna + Anthony
Following their romantic elopement in Queenstown Jenna and Anthony inform me that they are in the process of planning a ‘wedding party’ back home! The party will celebrate their marriage with close family and friends and they describe it as having two weddings in a way and that they feel they are getting the best of both worlds! This is the perfect way to celebrate your wedding your way and also include your family. Such a modern and refreshing take on wedding we think here at The Lovers X
